The Goshen College Composter

In 2010 a group of students began to think about how to improve sustainability practices at Goshen College.  Composting food discarded by students and food service activities was on their mind.  A group including students, food service staff, college maintenance staff, faculty, and administration gathered to discuss some options. The outcome of the meeting was the beginnings of development of The Goshen College Composter, an inexpensive insulation lined plywood box that can contain about 2000 lbs of discarded food and mulch.

Goshen College is a liberal arts school associated with the Mennonite Church and is located in Goshen, Indiana.
